Learn How to Make Rap Beats at Home

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Without persistence or talent, many wannabe rappers give up the ghost early. Persistence on top of a bit of talent will go an awful long way to helping you succeed though. It is a well known fact that many of today’s rap stars originated from city ghettos but succeeded because they persevered at developing their skills in light of the social adversity they faced. Having a good outlook toward your rapping will help you succeed in the smallest amount of time. Persistence, consistency and the will to succeed are all the ingredients you need.

It is very important to be aware of these three main sounds before making your first rap instrumentals. The drum kick, the hi hat and the snare drum are all these sounds. The drum kick sound is a forceful sound and can be made bolder by adding vibrations. These are known as B sounds. Hi hat sound is made from TS sound, while snare sounds come from PSH sound.

When practising it always makes sense to start off with these sounds in sequence or series. The best sequence to start with is the B, TS, PSH and TS sequence. Practise makes perfect as they say, so you should practise continuously until the beats are ingrained into you. Only when you have become proficient with this sequence should you try other combinations. Eventually you will be proficient enough to make your own rap beats. NB! Just remember though, the rhythm is the most important thing you have to learn. Once you have mastered this composing songs will be easy. Mistakes will be made during your journey, but don’t get too hung up about them. If you practise enough, you will get where you want to go. To sum up I would like to say that beat making is not an easy task.

There’s Nothing Michael Jackson Couldn’t Buy

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

According to Fox News.com the late Mr.Michael Jackson’s monthly expenses, while residing at the famous Neverland Ranch, cost almost $2.5 million a month. Who would have thought that an Amusement Park and a kiddy Zoo would be so “cost effective.”

The article on FoxNews.com says….”Michael Jackson left behind a legacy of being an amazing artist but he also left behind $400 million worth of debt. And as the man who had the best-selling album of all-time (“Thriller”), has had the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts of any male and has won more awards than any other artist, many are asking how on earth he managed to rack up so many unpaid bills?

Michael Jackson own shopping habits were a problem. FoxNews.com reported finding 75 cars registered under his name. Many celebrities love cars; however, many celebrities are also still working. Michael Jackson had not put out a significant piece of music since 1997.

Documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court provide a glimpse into Michael Jackson’s lifestyle. Jackson spent $95,700 on gardening for Neverland Ranch. $51,900 for security costs. It cost $66,200 to upkeep Michael Jackson’s famous zoo/amusement park. His housekeeping and PR expenses stood at around $60,200. Total monthly household expenses equaled $358,600.

Michael Jackson did not skimp on personal expenses either. FoxNews.com reported Michael as spending $178,100 on legal services, $120,000 on personal/property insurance, $25,600 on medical needs, and $42,600 on gifts, but only $100 a month on entertainment. I guess you could count the expenses for Neverland Ranch as entertainment. Overall, his personal expenses were estimated at $1, 420,600 monthly.

Looking at Michael Jackson’s monthly expenses it is easy to see a problem. His monthly expenses totaled $2,339,300. A staggering amount, even for a Double Diamond superstar.

While my degree in Accounting is yet to be official, I can still add and subtract. Almost $30 million a year just up keeping the Neverland Ranch? Are you serious? This does not even include his other guilty pleasures. Plastic surgery, anesthesia, narcotic pain pills, underage slumber parties, and the cost of lawyers to fight off “child molestation charges.” When you start racking up more bills then your total combined income, you will eventually find yourself in debt. I think Suze Orman would agree with me on this.

So, R.I.P. MJ, and stay away from the “Little Angels.
