Movin’ On is a tune by American R&B singer Mýa. It was written by Darryl Pearson, Mark Andrews, and Mýa for her self-titled debut album (1998), that includes guest vocals by rapper Silkk The Shocker on its official remix. Released because the album’s second single in July 1998 (see 1998 in music), it reached number thirty-4 on the U.S. Billboard Sizzling one hundred and number four on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The music appeared on his debut album, Ghetto Supastar launched in 1998, and on the soundtrack for the movie Bulworth. It reached No. 15 in the U.S. It features Ol’ Soiled Bastard and Mýa, who sings the chorus. In 1999 it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Efficiency by a Duo or Group.

Billboard journal gave the song a positive assessment:

Chart performance

Movin’ On debuted at number seventy-5 on the Billboard Sizzling a hundred chart and peaked at quantity thirty-4 in its sixth week. It spent 3 non-consecutive weeks at quantity thirty-four and 20 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Scorching 100 chart. Although, a modest success the only turned Mýa’s second consecutive top forty hit (solo). It turned a top five hit on the Sizzling R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart peaking at quantity 4 and Mýa’s second consecutive top ten hit (solo) on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.

Internationally the one was a modest success as nicely reaching the top twenty in New Zealand.
